My Top 5 Stephen King Books

Stephen King is my favorite author, so I thought I’d put together my list of my 5 favorite of his works.

5. The Long Walk

b. Summary: 100 teenage boys must maintain a constant walking pace of at least 3 mph or face execution by soldiers in an annual, televised contest in a totalitarian America. The last survivor wins the prize.

a. Year Published: 2011

b. Summary: Teacher Jake Epping travels back in time to prevent the John F. Kennedy assassination.

3. Misery

a. Year Published: 1987

b. Summary: After a car crash, novelist Paul Sheldon is rescued by Annie Wilkes, a nurse and his self-proclaimed “number one fan.”

2. The Shining

a. Year Published: 1977

b. Summary: Recovering alcoholic Jack Torrance and his family look after the famous Overlook Hotel for the winter. When the white stuff starts to blow, Jack and his family are cut off from the rest of the world…and that’s when the hotel truly comes to life.
